Backend Engineer

My client is hiring backend engineers with functional programming experience! This fast-growing startup is a leader in privacy software for the everyday consumer. They are partnered with some of the largest multinational electronics corporations and serving tens of millions of users daily.

What you'll do:

• Build backend services for consumer-facing web applications
• Design, code, and maintain high performance data processing systems
• Work in a collaborative environment to enhance your skills
• Utilize and learn exciting technologies

Requirements:

• Used Scala for at least 1 year
• College degree in Computer Science (or equivalent working experience)
• Comfortable with systems based on Akka
• Experience with cloud services (AWS) and APIs
• Functional programming experience (Typelevel, Cats, ZIO, etc.)
• Familiarity with Spark, Kafka, and K8s is a huge plus
