Senior Scala Developer

Location: West London

Salary: £85-£90k

My client is one of Europe’s leading entertainment brands and they are now looking for an experienced Scala Developer to join their successful team in West London. A truly exciting and inclusive place to work – a place where you can be yourself and let your skills shine.

This role provides the opportunity for you to work on:

• Designing, building, testing, and maintaining software to help integrate and orchestrate the movement of data between critical Data components.
• Delivering observable, reliable, and secure software, embracing “you build it you run it” mentality, and focus on automation.
• Taking an active role in story definition, assisting business stakeholders with acceptance criteria.
• Working with Principal Engineers and Architects to share and contribute to the broader technical vision

What you need:

• A track record of delivering complex, production quality applications.
• Strong Scala development experience, preferably in the akka ecosystem.
• Experience working with Docker, Kubernetes and Cloud technologies.
• A strong Test Driven Development background, with understanding of levels of testing required to continuously deliver value to production.
• Delivery experience within an agile environment using Scrum / Kanban methodologies and Pair Programming.
