This Lightning Talk was given by David Turner. He designed and implemented the programming language Miranda in 1985. In his talk at Lambda Days, he looks at Miranda as he says it was the precursor of Haskell and for that reason, it is historically interesting. Something he discovered when he open-sourced Miranda recently was that it wasn't compatible with Mac but he has now updated the code so that it will compile on Macbooks.
