We’ve joined forces with Goodman Masson, Spencer Ogden and various other like-minded recruitment companies, who truly care about improving diversity in the recruitment industry to create Programme One.
Programme One’s mission is simple: address workplace inequality for Black talent within the Recruitment Industry. We want to collectively remove the inequalities which are restricting the engagement of Black talent in the recruitment sector. We have an opportunity to deliver a lasting programme of change that addresses the significant underrepresentation of Black talent in recruitment.
Only 17% of all people working in tech in the UK are women, and that hasn’t improved in five years. This year we’re working with Coding Black Females to help them bring more women into tech. Watch this space!
Black people comprise only 3% of employees in the top 75 Silicon Valley tech companies. Blacks in Technology have built a community of Black people working in tech in the US. This year we are working with them to help build out their London community and to partner with them on their US events. We’ve got a lot of exciting things to share and look forward to our growing partnership with them.
